Document - Punchbowl Falls County Park Management Plan
Abstract
Protecting Punchbowl Falls as a public park is a century-old idea. As early as 1910, Hood River residents were advocating that this iconic site be made into a public park to forever preserve it for the enjoyment and use of future generations. The area has been a favorite swimming hole and fishing spot for generations of Hood River residents as well as seeing more recent use by rafters, kayakers and outdoor education programs. While locals have a long history of treating the area as if it were a public park, it has always been private property.Description
